So here I am, 4:35 in the morning and I am wide awake (blogging!) Ha!
Funny how all you want to do is SLEEP in the first trimester...seriously, ask Tyson! You couldn't wake me up during the first trimester if you set a bomb off by the bed. Sadly, they do not warn you about the third trimester! You feel tired, but good luck sleeping! My belly is so big and heavy that I can't get comfortable. I can't sleep sitting up, but I certainly can't sleep laying down because of the heartburn. Baby Kali often decides it is morning for her and she decides to show off her gymnastics skills....Can you see where I am going with all of this? :)
The other "effect" of the third trimester is the crazy dreams it brings about! That may be the real reason I am up right now. Just 30 minutes ago I was dreaming that I was in Burdett running away from a vampire dog (which just happened to be Bella, my brother-in-law and sister-in-law's lab dog). I was trapped in the bathroom of my house I grew up in, while my little brother played video games in the living room and my dad baked fresh cookies. Obviously, no one else was concerned about this "vampire" dog that was trying to bite me. I finally climbed out the window just in time to wake up.
So what does this all mean? That I need to stop reading the Twilight series books right before bed time! For all you that may know the books are about vampires and the main character is named "Bella". Ha!
So now that I am blogging about dreams, I should tell you my two funniest pregnancy dreams. Although these are extremely weird, if I don't write them down, I will never remember them! I dreamed that I started to go into labor, but no one was there to help. I had to deliver the baby by myself. But as I went to pick up baby Kali, I noticed something just wasn't right....did I just deliver a cat?!? YEP! I gave birth to a cat. I remember thinking in my dream that it was a cat and I wasn't sure if I was to keep the cat because it was Kali or if I should let her go because it was weird that I had a cat. For any of you that know me well now, I really do not like cats (I am a dog person!). The very next night I dreamed that I actually had a beautiful baby girl! Everything was so perfect, until she went to yawn and she had a FULL set of adult teeth!
So as you can see, the third trimester has made me insane...
I am ready to return to "reality" and ready to have Kali here! :) Only 5 more days...

The Start of Something Grand...
After many family members asking if we were going to set up a blog, I decided it might be time (now that I have a little time on my hands!). For all you that probably know, I have been confined to bed rest since July 7th, 2009. The pregnancy has caused my blood pressure to raise a little more each week and they finally decided in order to get me to term, that I would have to be placed on bed rest until delivery.
I am set to deliver 3 weeks early (at 37 weeks) on August 3rd, 2009. As you can notice from my date of this posting, that is 6 days away! I cannot believe how fast it has all gone! Before I know it, Ms. Kali Elizabeth will be here!
I can say I am very excited and very scared at the same time. I certainly have no clue about kids! I know I love my 2 nieces to pieces, but that is about as far as my knowledge of children go! ha! Everyone says I will be a great mom and Tyson will be a great father and that everything will come naturally to us both. Let's hope that is true! My motherly skills include opening the back door and letting Starsky out to "potty" and when we go somewhere, Starsky goes to the vet to be boarded. I wonder if they have anything like that for kids? Hmmm, will double check! :)
Tyson has been working in ScottsBluff, NE for the past few months, so the distance has been really hard on us both. He wants so badly to be apart of the whole pregnancy experience. I think in the back of my head actually how lucky he was that he missed some of these "experiences" I have already gone through! ha! He is coming home tomorrow to prepare for Kali! I can't wait to have him back home for a few weeks and see him hold his little baby girl for the first time!
Hopefully all will go smooth over the next few days and we will both be able to rest up and prepare for our new little addition!
P.S. Kali has the hiccups right now...keeps bumping the laptop up when I am typing....I think she knows momma is talking about her :)
